International Joint Workshop on PR-Proteins and Induced Resistance

Denmark, May 5-9, 2004

We would like to announce this joint workshop as a continuation of the Induced Resistance meeting, the first held on the island of Corfu, Greece, May 2000 and the long series PR-Protein workshops, the sixth held in Spa, Belgium, May 2001.

More than ever, we are expanding our knowledge on the mechanisms by which plants respond to and reject pathogens and pests. This is primarily due to the intense use of plant mutants, the emerging global transcript profiling data, and other post-genome strategies. During this international workshop, we will have a general up-date on these mechanisms from a number of the most recognized scientists in the field. In addition to the speakers listed below, a significant number of speakers will be selected from the submitted abstracts, whereby a diverse collection of aspects within the theme will be covered.
